Merz: Germany working to end Iran war costing Europe €100bn
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Friday that Germany is stepping up diplomatic efforts to end the war involving Iran, adding that the conflict cannot be resolved militarily. He said the conflict has added more than 100 billion euros ($112bn) to Europe's energy costs over the past eight months, giving Europe an economic interest in ending it quickly.
