Vance blames Iran war for midterm losses; Trump hints at exit
In his newsletter, Ken Klippenstein reported that Vice President JD Vance blamed the Republican midterm losses on the Iran war and that President Donald Trump told the Financial Times there may be no reason for a strike. Iranian armed forces chief of staff Maj. Gen. Ali Abdollahi conditioned any deal on ending fighting on all fronts, lifting sanctions and unfreezing funds, recognizing Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz, and security guarantees, according to the newsletter.
