Report: 192 Civilians Killed in US-Israeli Strikes on Baluch Areas

A report by the Balochistan Human Rights Documentation Network says at least 192 civilians were killed in US and Israeli air and drone strikes on Baluch-populated areas of Iran between 28 February and late September 2026. It says 168 people died in the strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, where Amnesty International concluded more than 100 children were among the dead.

The network published its report on 22 October, based on field investigations and documented cases. It said the strikes hit not only military facilities but also residential neighbourhoods, a primary school, a wedding celebration, fishing boats and civilian routes. It described its figure of 192 as a minimum documented toll and said the number of victims in several incidents remains unknown.

According to the report, 168 people were killed in the 28 February strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh primary school in Minab, with Amnesty International concluding that more than 100 children were among the dead. The report also documented a 1 September strike near a telecommunications tower and a house in Bandar Kuhestak where a wedding was taking place, killing five people and injuring more than 60, and attacks on fishing vessels off Minab and Sirik on 7 May that killed at least eight fishers and sailors.

The Balochistan Human Rights Documentation Network called for independent, transparent investigations, publication of accurate casualty figures, identification of missing persons and accountability for attacks that may have violated international humanitarian law. It said internet restrictions and limited access to targeted areas had complicated verification.
