Iran says forces stronger, Hormuz closed until US demands met
Iran's army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said Iranian forces are on higher alert and stronger than before the war with the United States and Israel, according to state news agency IRNA, in claims that could not be independently verified. He said Iran retains control of the Strait of Hormuz and that it will remain closed until Washington accepts Tehran's demands. Other Iranian officials also cited the strait as leverage, with a vice president saying its power exceeds hundreds of nuclear bombs, according to ISNA and Asr-e Iran.
