US court allows SAVAK torture lawsuit against Sabeti to proceed
A federal court in Florida has agreed to continue hearing a lawsuit by three Iranians who say they were tortured by the Pahlavi-era SAVAK, naming former senior SAVAK official Parviz Sabeti as the defendant, BBC Persian reported. The court said fear among the plaintiffs explained the delay in the case. Asr-e Iran reported that Sabeti went into hiding after the 1979 revolution and reappeared decades later at a gathering in the United States.
