Iran executes two detainees from Isfahan protests
Iran's judiciary announced the execution of Amirhossein Maleki and Amirhossein Ebrahimi, two detainees from the January protests at Aliakhani Square in Isfahan. It said they were convicted of "corruption on earth" and "enmity against God" over actions against national security that it said caused severe public disorder. Khabar Online, citing the judiciary, described them as the main armed perpetrators in the killing of police officers, a claim not independently verified.
