Iran judiciary summons Jafar Panahi to serve prison term
A media outlet run by Iran's judiciary said the filmmaker was summoned to begin serving a sentence of five years and one month in prison, and that authorities have started identifying and seizing his assets. The report added that Panahi can still object to the in absentia verdict and request a retrial; his lawyer has said the ruling was issued without a hearing date being communicated to him.
