Iran oil ministry benefits exclude contract workers
Iran's Ministry of Petroleum has approved a package of welfare and livelihood benefits for oil industry staff, highlighting the divide between formal employees and contract workers. Contractors working through third parties say they carry most of the workload in oil and gas industries but receive none of these benefits, and their longstanding demands remain unanswered, according to Radio Zamaneh.
