Iran arrests 16 over alleged US- and Israel-linked cells
Iranian authorities said they arrested 16 people accused of belonging to four “terrorist cells” linked to the United States and Israel in Sistan and Baluchestan province. Some of the detainees had entered Iran from abroad, according to semiofficial outlets, and security forces seized rifles and pistols. Tehran has repeatedly made such claims without publicly providing evidence.
