Sociologist: Iranians want low-cost change, not war or collapse
Sociologist Taghi Azadarmaki told Radio Zamaneh that widespread dissatisfaction with the Islamic Republic does not mean Iranian society welcomes war or the government's collapse. He said that despite poverty, repression, and political crises, most Iranians seek a lower-cost path to change rather than foreign intervention or armed struggle, and warned that a new authoritarianism could emerge from the collapse of the current order.
