Iran inflation hits 88.7% as education costs jump 23.5%
Iran's Statistical Center reported point-to-point inflation of 88.7% in the month of Mehr, with monthly inflation at 4.4% and annual inflation at 76.8%, figures carried by Iranian outlets showed. It recorded a 23.5% jump in education costs, and Radio Zamaneh reported that higher transport and recreation prices continued to pressure household budgets. ISNA said point-to-point inflation eased slightly from the previous month.
