Think tank: sanctions pressure unlikely to force Iran concessions
The Bourse & Bazaar Foundation's latest brief argues that the depletion of Iran's oil stocks at sea will remove a key source of foreign currency but is unlikely to force Tehran to concede to U.S. demands. Analyst Darius Barik said years of sanctions have accustomed Iran's economy to sustained pressure, making an economically driven uprising unlikely. The brief also examines how sanctions have restricted Iranian architects' access to modern construction materials.
