Iran: 87 executions in 20 days; 200 at risk in Qezel Hesar
Prisoners in 66 Iranian prisons held a hunger strike in the 144th week of the “Tuesdays Against Executions” campaign, the campaign said. It reported at least 87 executions in 20 days and warned that more than 200 death-row prisoners in Qezel Hesar are at risk. The campaign also said authorities upheld Manouchehr Fallah’s execution sentence, issued death sentences for four other prisoners and raised concern over Reza Zangeneh’s fate.
