Iran's parliament orders publication of 'hostile' media blacklist
Iranian lawmakers obliged the Ministry of Intelligence and the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) to prepare and publicly release a list of media deemed 'hostile', as part of a bill on countering foreign infiltration. Radio Zamaneh reported that the measure expands security bodies' power to designate banned outlets and that speaking to such media could carry criminal penalties, raising concerns about freedom of expression and press freedom.
