Short-term contracts, insurance evasion rise in wartime Iran
Reports from Iran point to a widening use of very short-term job contracts and evasion by some employers of social insurance payments as the economic crisis and the consequences of war intensify pressure on workers. Official Social Security Organization figures show widespread non-payment of workers’ insurance, threatening their job security, livelihoods and retirement, Radio Zamaneh reported.
