Chicken prices jump 25% in a week to 350,000 toman per kilo
Radio Zamaneh reported that chicken prices in Iran rose about 25 percent in a week, reaching 350,000 toman per kilogram. Poultry farmers attribute the jump to several-fold increases in production input costs after the removal of preferential currency, while the Ministry of Agriculture cites rising global prices for inputs as one cause.
