Iran water crisis persists despite 77% rise in dam inflows
Water inflow into Iran's dams rose 77 percent at the start of the current water year compared with the same period last year, Radio Zamaneh reported, but low rainfall and falling reserves at key dams persist. Lar dam is at only 3 percent of capacity, and several provinces face severe rainfall shortages, with water stress in Tehran and eastern Iran still concerning.
