Madagascar corruption trial exposes Boeing 777s routed to Iran
A corruption trial opening in Antananarivo centers on five Boeing 777s that Malagasy investigators say were registered in Madagascar to help them reach Iran in 2025 in circumvention of US sanctions. The planes are now listed as belonging to Mahan Air, which Washington has accused of transporting drones and weapons. Businessman Mamy Ravatomanga is the most prominent defendant and denies wrongdoing.
