CENTCOM says its Iran naval blockade reaches 100 days
US Central Command (CENTCOM) said its naval blockade of Iran has lasted 100 days and halted all seaborne imports and exports except humanitarian aid it has allowed. CENTCOM claimed the blockade has prevented at least $25 billion in crude oil exports, figures that could not be independently verified.
In a post on X, CENTCOM said: “There have been no exports or imports to Iran by sea except for the humanitarian aid US forces have allowed.” It called the measure a “steel wall” resumed 100 days ago and said it had constrained the IRGC’s ability to fund proxy militias and criminal networks, without providing independent confirmation of the blockade’s impact.
