Guardian: Reform donor was in business with Iran-linked foundation

The Guardian reported that Sasan (Hossein) Ghandehari, a billionaire donor to Nigel Farage's Reform UK, was in business with a powerful Iranian religious foundation under the authority of the Supreme Leader. Radio Zamaneh, citing the report, identified the institution as Astan Quds Razavi and said the partnership raises questions about his past dealings with Iran. The Guardian also reported that Ghandehari gave Farage £50,000 to cover the cost of two passes for the World Economic Forum in Davos.

According to the Guardian, Ghandehari was little known in Britain until he pledged millions to Reform UK this summer. The newspaper describes the foundation as a powerful religious institution operating under the authority of the country's Supreme Leader, and says the partnership raises questions about his past business dealings with Iran.

Radio Zamaneh, citing the Guardian's account, named the foundation as Astan Quds Razavi and noted that Farage leads a party that is critical of the Islamic Republic. The reports do not set out the scale or timing of the business relationship.
