Iran state broadcaster chief remains past term, legality questioned
Peyman Jebelli's five-year term as head of Iran's state broadcaster has ended, but he remains in the post without a new appointment being announced, Radio Zamaneh reported. A lawyer and human rights researcher told the outlet that continuing public services does not by itself authorize an official to stay in office, and that the ambiguity raises questions about the broadcaster's decisions and censorship policies.
